Who We Are

Love your court was born out of a pure passion for tennis. For as long as I can remember I have been involved in tennis in some form and have now manged to persuade my partner that the tennis life is the one for us. From the earliest days I can remember at Te Rahu tennis club where it all started with hanging around the club while my parents played, through life’s journey tennis has always been with me. From player to committee member, to coach, to tennis court builder, to tennis court owner, to National Age Group champion, to National Teams Champion, to international tournaments and more tennis is in my blood. On court is our happy place – even when it’s giving the court some love not playing!  Love Your Court is the realisation of a dream where we get to spend our lives doing what we love and loving what we do. When I moved to Auckland in 2016 and started getting involved in the tennis scene here, especially interclub, I quickly noticed at most clubs that I went to that there was always things that needed doing. This was the same when we visited courts outside of Auckland for tournaments, and even when we were lucky enough to play on people’s private courts.  After much thought, deliberation and soul searching we decided that we can help with this, and that we can enjoy doing it.
